Along with its sister village Montchavin (1250m), Les Coches (1450m) has its own tree lined ski area, offering some wonderful cruising through the forest. A series of chairlifts links Les Coches to high altitude La Plagne , whilst the amazing Vanoise Express cable car, just above Les Coches, links La Plagne to Les Arcs.
The village has a pedestrianised centre offering a good choice of shops and restaurants, a couple of bars and an ice skating rink. A shuttle bus links Les Coches to Montchavin which has a cinema and a superb new indoor/outdoor swimming pool/leisure complex.

Self – drive : it is an approx. 10 hour drive from the main channel ports.
By rail : the nearest station is at Landry, approx. 10 minutes away by car or taxi. In winter a direct Eurostar service runs to Bourg St Maurice.
By air : the main airports serving the region are Chambery, Geneva, Lyon and Grenoble.
